WO-L-E  Print/Post Labor to Payroll

Purpose of Program

Use this report to get a listing of all employee hours within a specified date and employee range entered through WO-F  Enter Labor (or through Data Collection) and to transfer the hours to Payroll or create an export file so that those hours can be imported directly into the CheckMark Payroll package.  For more information on how this export/import is set up and accomplished, see the Payroll Link module.

If you are using the Payroll module, through this program you can post the hours directly into each employee's master payroll record for processing on the next payroll.

Regardless of the payroll being used, you can print the report first, edit any transactions that need correction, then export the hours to CheckMark, enter the hours into the submittal form for your payroll service, or post the hours to the Payroll module.

The report lists total regular, overtime, double time, vacation time, holiday time, and sick time per employee.

Even if you are not using Checkmark or the Payroll module, the report can still provide a listing of labor hours that could be used to help prepare payroll data for an outside payroll service or another payroll package.

General Program Operation

Enter a from/thru range of dates and employees.  Next you must indicate whether you want the report data to be posted to payroll.  The default value is "N."  You should first run the report without posting, verify the data, make any corrections that are required, than run the report again.  When you are satisfied that the data are correct, then you should answer "Y" to the Post? prompt.

The program keeps track of which transactions have been posted to payroll or not.  You will be asked Do you want to include posted items in this report?  Enter a Y if you want previously posted transactions to list on the report; enter an N if you want the report limited only to transactions that have not been posted.

The report is divided into sections for each employee.  Line detail is provided for each labor transaction, then a summary of regular, overtime, double time, vacation, holiday, sick, and total hours.  The summary data is what ultimately gets exported to CheckMark or posted to the Payroll module.

When the report is run with the posting option set to Y, the regular, overtime, double time, holiday, vacation, and sick labor hours are either exported to a text file for eventual import into CheckMark, or they are posted to their respective fields in PR-B  Enter Pay Info in the Payroll module.
