CM-D  Upload Account Info

Purpose of Program

Use this program to upload files created through CM-C  Download Account Info so that they can be merged in with existing database records.  This program is usually run on a central database with download records coming in from field salespersons not connected to the network.

The account master information, including account class and key dates codes will copy over the existing records.  Since each Rep can only download accounts to which he is designated the master Rep, there will be no chance of accidentally overriding someone else's master account information.

Uploaded history notes and follow-up codes and dates will merge into the existing records, not replace them.  This way history can be merged together when several people are interacting with the same account.

General Program Operation

You are first asked to specify Where are the Upload files? Enter a path to the drive and subdirectory where the upload files are located.  If left blank, it will look for the files in the current program subdirectory.  If you had copied or received the upload files into a subdirectory called MIKE on drive F, you would enter a path as follows.

F:\MIKE\

You are then asked if you want to begin uploading.  If you indicate yes, the program will begin processing.
