SD-O  Contact Manager Defaults

Field Explanations

Title 1 thru 9

These are default job titles that correspond with contacts 1 thru 10 defined within CM-A, Enter Contact Accounts.  For example, Title 1 could be reserved for your primary contact, Title 2 could be the President, Title 3 could be the Controller, Title 4 could be the Plant Manager, etc.  You would always enter your contact names against the appropriate title.  If you wanted to make a mail-out just to company presidents, for example, you would specify Contact 3 when selecting mailing labels, and all company presidents would be selected.  Whatever titles you enter here will default into the screen when entering multiple contacts through CM-A  Enter Contact Accounts  The default title can be accepted or overridden.

Make Rep mandatory field?

If set to Y, you will not be allowed to save a new account record in CM-A  Enter Contact Accounts without assigning the account to a Rep.  If multiple Reps will be using the system, this field should be set to Y.  If the Contact Manager will be used by just one person and you dont want to bother entering a Rep code each time a new account is created, set this field to N.

Display Credit Hold Message

If a customer is put on credit hold through AR-A  Enter Customers and you want personnel using the Contact Manager to be aware of that customers credit status, set this field to Y.  If so, when this customer¡¦s account record is displayed through CM-A  Enter Contact Accounts, a message will display indicating this customer is on credit hold.

Label Printer Type

Indicate the type of printer you will be using for printing labels.  There are slight spacing differences between LaserJet printers and Ink Jet printers, so this field is used by the label printing programs to bring in the correct spacing.  Enter a 1 if you will be using a LaserJet or compatible printer, a 2 if you will be using an Ink Jet or compatible printer, and a 3 if you will be using a dot matrix printer.
